Dr. Susanne Motameny
Susanne Motameny has studied Mathematics and Computer Science at Friedrich-Schiller-University, Jena, Germany. She then moved to the University of Cologne, where she received her PhD in Applied Mathematics. In 2009, she joined the Cologne Center for Genomics (CCG) as a research scientist. Since 2019, she has been head of the NGS Data Analysis Group at the CCG and is also a staff member of the West German Genome Center (WGGC).
Susanne Motameny works in the development and operation of NGS data analysis pipelines for the CCG and WGGC. Her focus is on DNA sequencing data analysis, especially human exomes and whole genomes as well as the automation of the analysis workflows and data management. As the leader of the WGGC Special Interest Group 8 “Data Management & Protection”, she is also contributing to the data security and data protection measures for the WGGC.
