Array-based genotyping

High-throughput genotyping via arrays, such as SNP (single-nucleotide polymorphism) arrays and other microarray platforms, offers versatile tools for analyzing genetic variation across populations and individuals. Key applications of array-based genotyping include:

  • Genome-wide association studies
  • Studies on genetic and rare diseases
  • DNA methylation analysis
  • Gene expression studies
  • CNV and polyploidy analysis
  • Microbiome studies
  • Plant and animal genotyping
  • Population genetics

The CCG provides support for research groups from the University of Cologne and the University Hospital of Cologne, as well as external projects from other research institutions on the basis of a scientific collaboration.
